So, this is what’s been going on at DEBBIE the past few months…
DEBBIE is a queer dance party devoted to female-fronted rock pop indie and disco. DEBBIE has also started to showcase new up and coming campy/queer performance. DEBBIE is all-inclusive and aims to create and celebrate a space where people of all genders, ethnicities, sexualities, body shapes, sizes, ages and (dis)abilities can feel welcome and have a good time. DEBBIE = Devastating Empowered Bewitching Babes Invincible Eternally. “Babes” can come in any shape, size, flavour and variety.
DEBBIE DJs Sina Sparrow and Bitchcakes spin the likes of Blondie, PJ Harvey, Cher, Cheryl Lynn, Hole, Supremes, Stevie Nicks, Kate Bush, Kim Wilde, Go-Go’s, Bangles, Girls Aloud, X-Ray Spex, Britney Spears, Runaways, Taylor Dane, Haim, Robyn, Nicola Roberts, Patti Smith, Cyndi Lauper and many more.
DEBBIE happens on the 2nd Saturday of the month - the next DEBBIE is Saturday 14th December. DEBBIE is at The Resistance Gallery, 265 Poyser St, London E2 9RF. 10pm-Late. £3 entry.
